Center Repertory Company launches its 2022-23 season with the hit musical play Always…Patsy Cline.

The nationally regarded Fulton Theatre in partnership with Greenfield continues the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Speaker Series with it's production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella. The Series of four events throughout the season continues Sunday, December 5 at 5:00 pm at the Fulton Theatre, with AnnEliza Canning-Skinner (Fairy Godmother), Manna Nichols (Cinderella), and Kalen Robinson (Stepsister Grace). Tickets are FREE to the community, but reservations are required.

The Guthrie Theater has announced the cast and creative team for the playful world premiere of Emma, written by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Jane Austen and directed by Meredith McDonough. In this Guthrie-commissioned work, Hamill's fun and creative adaptation of Austen's social commentary on British life is a fresh take on the beloved classic.

Last night, supporters of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley gathered to hear the 2019 Regional Theatre Tony Award-winning company and its Board of Trustees announce the launch of its 50th Anniversary Campaign, a $5 million fundraising campaign to ensure the future success of the nationally-acclaimed theatre, including commissions for new plays and musicals. 

West Side Story is officially in previews on Broadway! The new production is directed by Tony Award winner Ivo van Hove; and for the first time ever in the United States, will feature all-new choreography by the internationally acclaimed Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. West Side Story will begin previews on December 10, 2019 and open February 6th, 2020 at the Broadway Theatre.

The New York Pops performs the timeless music of Rodgers and Hammerstein on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 8:00 p.m. in Find Your Dream: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein joined by guest artists Laura Michelle Kelly and Max von Essen, as well as Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA. The concert spans all eleven of Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic collaborations, including 'People Will Say We're in Love' from Oklahoma!, 'You'll Never Walk Alone' from Carousel, 'Some Enchanted Evening' from South Pacific, 'I Have Dreamed' from The King and I, and 'Climb Ev'ry Mountain' from The Sound of Music.

Goodspeed Musicals has announced this year's cast of A Connecticut Christmas Carol - the musical treat infused with Connecticut flavor by LJ Fecho and Michael O'Flaherty. Perfect for the holidays, A Connecticut Christmas Carol, the family-friendly take on the Dickens classic, will return to The Terris Theatre December 4 - 28, 2019. Classic Stage Company today announces new additions for the thrilling repertory cycle of adaptations of two legendary Gothic nightmares by emerging playwrights, kicking off 2020. Sarna Lapine (Sunday in the Park with George, Little Women) will direct Kate Hamill's reimagining of Dracula (starting January 14), and Tristan Bernays' adaptation of Frankenstein will start January 30.

The final show of Cygnet's sixteenth season brings fun, whimsy and modern-day humor to a beloved classic by Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice runs May 15 through June 16, 2019. Opening Night for media is Saturday, May 18 at 8:00PM. The outspoken Elizabeth Bennet faces mounting pressure from her status-conscious mother to secure a suitable marriage. But is marriage suitable for a woman of Elizabeth's intelligence and independence? Especially when the irritating, aloof, self-involved tall, vaguely handsome, mildly amusing, and impossibly aristocratic Mr. Darcy keeps popping up at every turn. Literature's greatest tale of latent love has never felt so theatrical or so full of life as it does in this effervescent new adaptation.
