Its tale is set in the vast landscape of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains between the years 1945-46, and features flashbacks to the year 1923. The rare feat of Operation Mincemeat lies in its tone. The show is a fast-paced, zany, comedic take on a mission that used a dead body to mislead the Axis forces, leading to the successful Allied invasion of Sicily.

Review: I DO, I DO at Revolution Stage Company
by Kay Kudukis - Oct 21, 2024

Strong vocals carry the night at Revolution’s production of the dated, but funny, I Do, I Do. With book and lyrics by clever lyricist Tom Jones, the only song you might recall is Try to Remember (also in his 1960s musical The Fantasticks), which landed on the Billboard’s 100 in 1965 not once, but three times by three different artists.
