August Wilson's Pittsburgh Cycle, also known as the American Century Cycle, is made up of ten plays, written between 1982 and 2005. Each set in a different decade in Pittsburgh's Hill District (with the exception of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom), the plays are meant to depict the Black experience throughout the 20th century.

Cygnet Theatre announces its return to in-person readings for The Bill and Judy Garrett Finish Line Commission in 2022. Ensemble Studio Theatre (EST) has announced complete casting for the 38th Marathon of One-Act Plays, which will be fully comprised of work from artists who identify as Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC). This year's selection of eleven plays was curated by Co-Artistic Directors Mike Lew (Teenage Dick) and Colette Robert (Behind the Sheet). Ten plays will be presented across two different series from Sunday October 16 through Sunday November 13 at EST.

Playwright Peter Lefcourt’s Remembering the Future world premieres at the Odyssey Theatre July 16, 2022. Terri Hanauer directs the cast of Michael Corbett, Fatima El-Bashir, David Jahn, Andrew Neaves and Tarina Pouncy. I had a very enjoyable phoner with the multi-tasking, ever busy Michael.

On That Day in Amsterdam will begin previews at 59E59’s Theater A on July 23, 2022, with opening night set for August 11 for a limited run through September 4, 2022.
