Two-time Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Musicals has assembled five exciting teams to transform their diverse season of musicals from page to stage.

Ocean State Theatre Company (OSTC) has announced that its fifth season in its comfortable, stadium style theatre located at 1245 Jefferson Boulevard in Warwick, will open with the Rhode Island professional premiere of the Tony Award-winning Broadway sensation, Billy Elliot The Musical.

Theatre for a New Audience has announced complete casting for A DOLL'S HOUSE, in an adaptation by Thornton Wilder not seen in New York since its Broadway premiere in 1937, and August Strindberg's THE FATHER, in a new version by Scottish author David Greig (Strindberg's Creditors at BAM) commissioned by Theatre for a New Audience.

FUSE@PSO, the popular, genre-bending early evening concert series presented by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, returns tonight, March 9 to Heinz Hall with 'Stravinsky's Firebird: Remix | Response.'

The celebrity cast of “Dancing with the Stars” are slipping into their ballroom shoes and getting ready for their first dance on MONDAY, MARCH 21 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network.

According to Variety, Cary Elwes (Saw, The Princess Bride, Robin Hood: Men in Tights) will star opposite Penelope Cruz in Fernando Trueba's upcoming comedy-drama, THE QUEEN OF SPAIN. The movie is a sequel to Trueba's 1998 film The Girl of Your Dreams, which also starred Cruz.

PITTSBURGH – FUSE@PSO, the popular, genre-bending early evening concert series presented by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, returns Wednesday, March 9 to Heinz Hall with “Stravinsky's Firebird: Remix | Response.”  For this concert, series Creative Director Steve Hackman has crafted a modern dramatization and remix of Stravinsky's ballet The Firebird. Weaved into the Stravinsky are 12 original songs, inspired by the myth of the Firebird and the original 1911 score, that implement modern pop/DJ/electronica production techniques and tell the story in an entirely new and contemporary way.  It is at once a live remix, concept album and classical masterpiece. Joining the Pittsburgh Symphony are rapper Jecorey “1200” Arthur, singer Malia Cievtz, drummer Gabriel Globus-Hoenich and a 15-person female choir.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, stage and screen star Mandy Patinkin has signed on to join Penelope Cruz in the upcoming Spanish-language film THE QUEEN OF SPAIN.

The Pearl Theatre Company is pleased to present the New York premiere of Stupid Fu**ing Bird, Aaron Posner's award-winning wry riff on Anton Chekhov's masterpiece The Seagull. Directed by Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival's Artistic Director Davis McCallum, the production, running March 15-May 8, scoops up Chekhov's tale of unrequited love, missed opportunities, and misplaced dreams and sets it down squarely in the bustle of 21st century life.
