This morning, The Black Keys debut a live version of “Go,” the second single off their ninth studio album “Let's Rock,” (Easy Eye Sound/Nonesuch Records), via Rolling Stone. For the performance they are joined by their touring band, Andrew Gabbard and Delicate Steve on guitar, and Zachary Gabbard on bass. The video, taped at a recent rehearsal in front of a small audience made up of members of the band's fan club, provides a behind-the-scenes look and a preview of their upcoming “Let's Rock” tour, which kicks off on September 23 at Denver's Pepsi Center. Earlier this year, on April 22, The Phantom of the Opera, reached a milestone that no other Broadway show has even come near. Phantom, the longest-running show in Broadway history, became the first Broadway show EVER to reach #13,000 performances. Several of the stars of these films and TV shows have gone on to further their acting and singing careers on Broadway, and some even got their start on the stage. This morning, The Black Keys debut the trailer for their “MasterCourse” via Funny or Die, where they provide secrets of their success and songwriting craft, as well as inspiration for some of their songs. Patrick Carney says, “after this course you'll be able to write music like the pros,” and Dan Auerbach adds, “unless you're not naturally gifted like us, then we can't really help you.”

Today, The Black Keys release the music video for their new song “Go,” from their upcoming album “Let's Rock.” The video is directed by Bryan Schlam and finds the band struggling to reconnect after five years apart. The anxiously-anticipated arrival of Aladdin is finally here! The national tour stops in Sacramento through June 2 and brings with it the songs that you know and love from the 1992 animated movie, along with new numbers written specifically for the stage musical. After its debut on Broadway in 2014, it was nominated for 5 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score. Broadway World Sacramento was able to speak with Reggie DeLeon, who originated the role of Iago on the national tour and has returned after a brief hiatus.
