 Bard SummerScape will return this year with eight weeks of live dance, theater, music, and opera in New York’s Hudson Valley, June 23–August 14, 2022. SummerScape 2022 presents the world premieres of new commissions in both dance and theater.

In March of 1943, the audience that poured into New York’s St. James Theatre had no idea they were witnessing the the birth of the musical comedy as we know it today. The maiden production of composer Richard Rodgers and lyricist Oscar Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA! would change the face of Broadway forever. Flash forward 80 years and audiences once again had no idea what they would encounter in Director Daniel Fish’s dark disjointed OKLAHOMA!

The public is invited to a special morning as the Kimmel Cultural Campus and The Shubert Organization celebrate the reopening of the Forrest Theatre box office in anticipation of the arrival of the Tony Award-winning production of OKLAHOMA!.

New Village Arts (NVA), North County's cultural hub, is presenting the world premiere of DESERT ROCK GARDEN February 11 to March 13, 2022. The Little Prince will now begin Broadway previews on Tuesday, March 29, with opening night set for Monday, April 11 at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). The production was previously scheduled to begin performances on March 4 and open March 17.

The life and career of Broadway veteran Mary Ellen Ashley was recently highlighted in a short documentary film, Just a Broadway Baby: Mary Ellen Ashley. Theatre Arlington's 49th season will offer great musicals, family-friendly children's programming, prize-winning dramas, hysterical comedies and the return of a favorite holiday show – all on the brand-new, state-of-the-art Arlington Tomorrow Foundation Theatre stage.
