Isaac Mizrahi returns to Cafe Carlyle for three special performances titled Isaac & on June 10, June 17, and June 24. Isaac's previous three residencies in the room were sellouts, receiving widespread critical acclaim. He'll be joined by his band of jazz musicians, led by Ben Waltzer, for an evening of eclectic tunes and charming storytelling. Each night a well-known friend will join him on stage for a few songs and banter. The Center for the Arts at George Mason University announced today the 2019/2020 season of Great Performances at Mason, its annual series featuring leading national and international artists in the disciplines of classical music, opera, jazz, ballet, modern dance, theater, and global music and dance. The Center also announced the return of the Family Series, offering its second season of affordable programming for young audiences.

Red Bridge Arts & Traverse Theatre Company's BLACK BEAUTY, a "five-star triumph" (The Guardian), gallops into the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts with a story of hope, friendship and courage from Friday, April 26 to Sunday, May 5, 2019, in The Wallis's Lovelace Studio Theater. Created by Andy Manley, Andy Cannon and Shona Reppe, this re-telling blends storytelling, music and puppetry, offering fun and adventure for fans of the book, the UK's classic TV show and those brand new to the tale. From the cozy horsebox they call home, Andy and Andy take the bit firmly between their teeth to weave the classic tale, as it has never been seen before. The production, which includes audience engagement, is recommended for families with kids ages 5 and older.

Vicki Lawrence and her alter ego, 'Mama,' perform at Mayo Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, April 3 at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $29-$59.

Cherrytree Management and Live Nation have confirmed that Sting will perform at the Usana Amphitheatre in Utah on August 31 at 7:30 PM for a very special, one-night-only appearance, accompanied by the Utah Symphony. All proceeds from the concert will go to the Zion Forever Project to benefit Zion National Park as part of the Park's centennial celebration.

The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

The Country Music Association's critically acclaimed CMA Songwriters Series Presented by U.S. Bank has announced a performance at Showbox SoDo in Seattle Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7:00 PM featuring performances by Bailey Bryan, Barry Dean, Sam Palladio and Cassadee Pope. The series hosts intimate performances with some of Country Music's most exciting songwriting talent taking turns telling the stories behind their hit songs and performing them as originally written. This year, a living legend of musical theatre turns 90: Lyricist-bookwriter Tom Jones (who also, under a stage name) appeared in the original company of his most famous and wildly successful record-breaking musical, The Fantasticks. His collaborator, composer Harvey Schmidt, just recently passed away. The production's record-breaking run closed, on January 13, 2002, after 17,162 performances. Their shows also include 110 in the Shade, I Do! I Do!, Philemon, Celebration and many more. And celebration is what it's about when Broadway veterans Carole Demas, who originated the role of Sandy in Grease, and Sarah Rice, who originated the role of Johanna in Sweeney Todd, return to celebrate Jones & Schmidt. Demas and Rice have based the show on their 50 years of work and personal relationships with Tom and Harvey. With very special guest Broadway's Hal Robinson who is also a Fantasticks alumni.

Isaac Mizrahi returns to Cafe Carlyle with an all-new show, Isaac Mizrahi: Queen Size, February 5 - 16. His previous two residencies in the room were sellouts, receiving widespread critical acclaim. Mizrahi will perform classics by Leonard Bernstein, Cat Stevens, Jimmy Webb, John Kander, Cole Porter, James Taylor and Jerome Kern. Once again, he'll be joined by his band of (handsome, thin, single) (maybe not single) jazz musicians, led by Ben Waltzer. With all-new stories and observations, Mizrahi will also have a fresh stock of swag items to re-gift to audience members. No topics will be off-limits: politics, sex, prescription drugs, millennials. In a review of his Cafe debut, The New York Times noted "he is determined to challenge the cultural status quo and help blaze a path into a more liberated future… his Cafe Carlyle engagement is a big deal." Vogue called his previous Cafe residency, "the hottest ticket at New York Fashion Week."

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) in celebration of its 50thseason, will present The Algonquin Kid, a musical revue about growing up in the Algonquin Hotel, written by Michael Colby.
