A Language of Their Own by Chay Yew, a thoughtful, intimate, and emotional examination of ethnic and sexual identity in the face of the AIDS crisis. Oscar and Ming had been together for four years, but they break up after Oscar is diagnosed with AIDS.Despite beginning relationships with new boyfriends, neither is able to let the other go completely. They find navigating these relationships is just as complicated as when they were together - like learning and creating the nuances of a new language.

Obie Award-winning playwright/performer David Drake, who most recently headlined an all-star ensemble benefit of his landmark show The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS last spring, returns to the New York stage with TAWNY, TELL ME TRUE. Written by and starring Drake, this drag tragicomedy with music will be directed by Robert La Fosse (Tony Award nominee for Jerome Robbins' Broadway) featuring musical direction by Lance Cruce (Joan River's longtime pianist, Karen Finley's Make Love), original music by Trevor Kuprel, and video by Ned Stresen Reuter. Performances begin October 19th at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Following rave reviews and audience acclaim at off-Broadway's Atlantic Theater Company this past spring, American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Pam MacKinnon announced today that Tony Award winner and San Francisco native BD Wong will reprise his role as 'Wen Chang' in award-winning Bay Area playwright Lauren Yee's The Great Leap, performing at A.C.T.'s Geary Theater (415 Geary St., San Francisco) from Wednesday, March 6, through Sunday, March 31, 2019. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Pocket Universe - the company behind last summer's acclaimed Off-Broadway production of Julius Caesar set in an all-girls highschool - has released a brand new teaser video for the new, reimagined  adaption of Beaumont & Fletcher's THE MAID'S TRAGEDY. Set in present day Hollywood, the Off-Broadway production will run from June 13 to June 30, 2018 at the Access Theater (380 Broadway) in TriBeCa. Opening night is set for Friday, June 15.

Teatro Vista, in association with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events and Victory Gardens Theater, presents the world premiere of Where Did We Sit on the Bus?, created and performed by Brian Quijada and directed by Victory Gardens' Artistic Director, Chay Yew. The production will take place at the Storefront Theater, 66 E. Randolph St. Chicago. Opening/Press night is Thursday, March 17 at 7:30 pm.  Regular performances are from Friday, March 18 through Sunday, April 10. Thursdays - Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Preview performances run from Thursday, March 10 through Wednesday, March 16. All tickets are $15. For the first time, the Queen's Theatre Hornchurch has partnered with one of London's prestigious drama schools, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama to produce Dennis Kelly's modern day black comedy DNA (7 - 14 Feb). The production, which is a set text on the GCSE English Literature and Drama curriculum, has attracted audiences of more than 30 schools and colleges, with some students travelling as a far as Dorset, West Yorkshire and Lancashire to see this unique collaboration at the Hornchurch Theatre.
