The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center (CMS) today announces the details of its 2020-21 season. The National Youth Theatre (NYT) has been awarded £2,000,000 from the Mayor of London's Good Growth Fund to undergo a major renovation to its Holloway Road building in North London. The radical development will enable NYT to double the number of young people they engage in the building through their annual programme which provides, free and affordable drama opportunities that champion diversity, creativity and routes into the creative industries.

The City of Rancho Cucamonga's MainStreet Theatre Company has been approved for a $15,000 Art Works grant to support the development and world premiere of Mariachi Tales, a new play with music by José Cruz Gonzáles. Mr. Gonzáles is an award-winning playwright whose plays have been produced at theatres across the country. A collection of his plays, Nine Plays by José Cruz González Magical Realism & Mature Themes in Theatre for Young Audiences was published by the University of Texas Press in 2009.

The NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) has announced this year's recipients of grants through the CreateNYC Language Access Fund. 36 NYC-based nonprofits will receive grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 in support of programming that increases access to arts and culture for those whose primary language is not English. Gulfshore Playhouse, Naples' premier professional theatre has reached another milestone in its Next Stage Capital Campaign with the announcement of its first corporate gift. Bank of America has awarded Gulfshore Playhouse with a $250,000 grant that will support the construction of the new Gulfshore Playhouse Theatre and Education Center at the corner of Goodlette-Frank Road and First Avenue South.

Eastern Music Festival (EMF), Greensboro's nationally recognized classical music festival and summer educational program, has received a three-year grant of $30,000 from the Tannenbaum-Sternberger Foundation for the Distinguished Teaching Artist program. The Foundation's generous support will enable EMF to continue the master guest teacher program over the 2020, 2021, and 2022 summer study seasons.

The Board of Directors of the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, California announced today the appointment of Terrence W. Dwyer as its new President and CEO effective September 9, 2019.  Dwyer will succeed Mitch Gershenfeld who is retiring after 20 years with the McCallum Theatre, the last seven of which as the Theatre's President and CEO.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. All performances are world, US, or New York premieres; they are united by their convention-breaking fearlessness as they confront topics from social injustice to personal demons. Many of the performances pay homage to legendary artists of our time and previous eras, while the theme of migration and its transformational effects on identity informs several others.
