Musicians of Kronberg Academy Will Make Carnegie Hall Debut In Four Concerts in February

This February, six exceptionally talented young artists from the world-renowned Kronberg Academy in Germany travel to New York City to make their Carnegie Hall debut over four concerts in Weill Recital Hall and Zankel Hall. Current students - violinist Stephen Waarts, cellist Jonathan Roozeman, and pianists Jean-Sélim Abdelmoula and Mishka Rushdie Momen - along with alumni violinist Marc Bouchkov and violist Matthew Lipman present a wide range of repertoire in programs that reflect the individuality and artistry honed during their studies at the prestigious Academy. In two matinee programs, these musicians perform alongside Kronberg Academy faculty members and acclaimed soloists - violist Antoine Tamestit and cellist Gary Hoffman - while in two evening programs the students and alumni showcase solo and chamber works.

In November, the network serves up a bounty of Thanksgiving-themed episodes and the classic animated special “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving.” In December, ABC decks the halls with special Christmas and Hanukkah-themed episodes—the return of fan-favorite series “The Great Christmas Light Fight” and “The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition”; and an all-new holiday movie, “Same Time, Next Christmas,” starring Lea Michele. Timeless cartoons and beloved holiday films will also return. The fun continues after Christmas with New Year's-themed programming ringing in 2020. 

NHL, Green Day Announce Two-Year Cross-Platform Partnership

The National Hockey League (NHL®) today announced it has entered into a two-year, cross-platform marketing and promotional partnership with five-time Grammy Award-winning band Green Day. To launch the partnership, NHL fans will get a sneak peek to a yet to be released song called a?oeFire, Ready, Aim,a?? off Green Day's forthcoming thirteenth studio album, a?oeFather Of Alla?? a?oe (Reprise/Warner Records), which will serve as the opening theme song for NBCSN's Wednesday Night Hockey, debuting with the New Jersey Devils vs. Philadelphia Flyers game on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. In addition, a?oeFire, Ready, Aima?? will be featured on NHL on NBC  broadcasts throughout the 2019-20 season.

OKTOBERFEST NYC 2019 Kicks Off Friday, 9/13

New York City's largest outdoor Oktoberfest festival, OktoberFest NYC 2019 kicks off on Friday, September 13th, one week in advance of the official start of the famous German festival, at Watermark Bar at Pier 15. The open-air, family-friendly festival will run from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. each Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine, from September 13th to October 20th with up to 150,000 guests expected over the six weekends.
