The Rhinoceros Theater Festival celebrates its 31st year with six weeks of performances from January 11 - February 23, 2020 at Prop Thtr, 3502 N. Elston Ave. in Chicago. This year's Rhino Fest features 48 shows, including new plays, dance, devised works, variety, music, performance, and fresh takes on classic texts. Transport Group Announces Casting For THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN, Starring Beth Malone

Transport Group has announced casting for The Unsinkable Molly Brown, its second mainstage production of the 2019-20 season. Joining Tony Award nominee Beth Malone (Fun Home) who will play Molly Brown are David Aron Damane (The Book of Mormon, Big River, The Life) as JJ, Whitney Bashor (The Bridges of Madison County) as Julia, Omar Lopez-Cepero (On Your Feet!) as Vincenzo, Alex Gibson (SpongeBob SquarePants; Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812) as Erich, and Paolo Montalban (Pacific Overtures, The King and I) as Arthur. Rounding out the cast are Kaitlyn Davidson; Tyrone Davis, Jr.; Gregg Goodbrod; Michael Halling; Karl Josef Co; Nikka Graff Lanzarone; Kate Marilley; Shina Ann Morris; Keven Quillon; and CoCo Smith.
BroadwayCon Announces 2020 Star To Be Finalists

BroadwayCon and the Broadway League Foundation have announced the finalists for the fourth annual BroadwayCon Star To Be talent competition. Finalists will perform on the BroadwayCon MainStage for a panel of three celebrity judges and a room full of fellow Broadway fans on Saturday, January 25, 2020. The 2019 Jimmy Awards® winners Ekele Ukegbu and Ethan Kelso will perform during the competition while the judges deliberate. The BroadwayCon Star to Be winner will receive a pair of tickets to the 2020 Jimmy Awards ceremony.

Winners Announced for the 2019 Boston International Kids Film Festival

Six films were selected for special recognition on Saturday, November 16th at the Boston International Kids Film Festival (BIKFF). The independent judges selected one winner for each of the five film categories Best Documentary, Best Short Film, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Student Documentary, Best Student Short Film. Furthermore one film was honored with the Peggy Charren Award for Excellence, created in honor of Peggy Charren, who worked tirelessly to achieve both quality and diversity in children's television, and organized parents in her community to create an advocacy group, Action for Children's Television (ACT). More than 80 films were selected for the festival that celebrates films for, by, and about kids. BIKFF was held at the Capitol Theatre in Arlington, the Somerville Theatre, and Lesley University College of Art and Design on November 15th - 17th.

Take Me Out has found its full Broadway cast! Second Stage Theater has announced full casting for the Broadway production of Richard Greenberg's Tony Award-winning play, Take Me Out. Julian Cihi, Hiram Delgado, Brandon J. Dirden, Will Harrison, Carl Lundstedt, Ken Marks, Michael Oberholtzer, and Joél Pérez will join previously announced stars Patrick J.
