Queer the Ballet presents the world premiere of Dream of a Common Language. Dream of a Common Language is a new evening-length ballet inspired by lesbian writer and activist Adrienne Rich's 1978 poetry collection by the same name.

Little Feat have just dropped the second track from this upcoming album Sam's Place, which is due out on May 17.“Can’t Be Satisfied,” a rollicking cover of the classic Muddy Waters-written song, is the second offering from the jumping SAM’S PLACE (Hot Tomato Productions/MRI). Arooj Aftab is set to release Night Reign, the follow up to her critically acclaimed album Vulture Prince, on May 31, 2024. Ahead of the release, she shares “Raat Ki Rani,” the album’s debut single and a music video helmed by actress Tessa Thompson (in her directorial debut) and produced by Kishori Rajan, who heads Thompson’s production company Viva Maude. Jenny Don't And The Spurs have just dropped their latest single ahead of the relese of their forthcoming album. The opening cadence of Jenny Don’t and the Spurs’ latest single “Unlucky Love” hints at the country band’s indie rock past brilliantly. Palm-muted, chunky guitar and picked electric bass invoke one thing before the tremolo-laden, western-sounding strums usher in Don’t’s evocative opening line, “I know it’s not me when you say you’re falling in love.” Listen to the song here!

Guided By Voices (the ever-evolving act led by Robert Pollard) shares the announcement of their next LP, Strut of Kings (due June 28 via GBV Inc). Building on 40 years of GBV history, the majestic and triumphant Strut of Kings is the 41st album by the indie rock royalty. Next month, the Chicago-based singer-songwriter and captivating guitarist Bill MacKay will release his forthcoming album, Locust Land. The album serves as the long-awaited follow up to MacKay’s 2019 solo effort, Fountain Fire. Previously released album tracks include the dazzling “When I Was Here” and “Glow Drift,”, MacKay has shared “Keeping In Time,” an album highlight which finds MacKay employing a searching voice to explore themes of fate and love.
