A forest nymph, Mavka, falls in love with a mortal youth, Lukash, causing a dramatic clash between the world of carefree beauty of the forest and the world of humans, filled with jealousy, passion, rivalry, and evil. A rare English-language translation of one of the the most beloved works of Ukrainian classical literature, "Forest Song" includes mythological beings from Slavic folklore and an original score by Jon Brenner.
