EDINBURGH 2023: LINDSEY SANTORO, PINK TINGE, The Pleasance Courtyard
by Christiana Rose - August 18, 2023
Lindsey Santoro, is bright, audacious and not afraid to discuss the realities of women’s experiences. These are important topics, so she explores smear tests, speculums, childbirth and drugs. Santoro is bold in delivery, infectiously likable and has the quality of being naturally funny.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: WALKING HOME, Gilded Balloon Teviot – Wine Bar
by Jo Caruana - August 18, 2023
Almost every woman – and many men – will have felt the fear portrayed in Prickly Pear Production’s latest play, Walking Home. You know the one I mean: the fear that comes from hearing footsteps behind you on the street as you peer through the darkness.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: CHRIS TURNER: VEGAS, BABY!, Underbelly, Bristo Square, Buttercup
by Kat Mokrynski - August 18, 2023
Every comedian dreams of their big break, the one gig that will change their life. What if that gig is in Cirque de Soleil’s new show in Las Vegas, Mad Apple? What if they want you to fly out to Vegas with your wife and newborn baby? Then, the dream gig might be a bit more complicated than you first thought.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: JEREMY SEGWAY: A LIFE OUT OF BALANCE, Bedlam Theatre
by Kat Mokrynski - August 18, 2023
If you know me, you know that I have a deep love for Segways. Whenever there is a chance to take a Segway tour, I immediately hope on it (yes, pun fully intended). So as soon as I saw a show with the description, “A show dedicated to Mr Segway, the man who invented the segway, all performed entirely on segways,” I knew I had to go.

EDINBURGH 2023: Review: DAZZLING, TheSpace
by Katie Kirkpatrick - August 17, 2023
Falling into the depths of obsession and addiction, Holly Sewell’s play Dazzling is a personal, perceptive one-woman-show from a talented team. Laying in her messy bedroom, we meet Alix (Charlie Scott-Haynes) as she complains about her boring summer school office job. Her story really starts when she goes on a night out with best friend Jan and meets Fiona. The pair begin a whirlwind romance, but as Alix falls deeper and deeper the relationship takes over her life a little too much.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: COWBOYS AND LESBIANS, Pleasance Dome
by Katie Kirkpatrick - August 17, 2023
Cowboys and Lesbians, quite simply, does what it says on the tin. But it does so in a fiercely funny, heartwarming way that leaves you walking out with a big smile on your face. The show opens with two teenage girls, Noa and Nina, waiting for the school bus. They’re lovably awkward school nerds, imagining how their lives might look if they were in a cliche film. We are then transported to the film they are making up.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: BE MY GUEST, Assembly George Square, The Box

EDINBURGH 2023: Review: THE ST ANDREWS REVUE, Just The Tonic At The Caves
by Mark Carnochan - August 17, 2023
The St Andrews Revue's type of comedy may not be for everyone and the lack of variety may leave some disappointed but there is no denying that the cast have mastered the silliness they present before us.

EDINBURGH 2023: MOG THE FORGETFUL CAT, Underbelly, Bristo Square, McEwan Hall
by Christiana Rose - August 17, 2023
Mog meows, yowls and purrs, Goodchild moves convincingly with the true grace of a cat, truly embodying the movement and mannerisms and so we fully believe the action.

EDINBURGH 2023: Review: I HOPE YOUR FLOWERS BLOOM, Scottish Storytelling Centre
by Natalie O'Donoghue - August 16, 2023
Flitting between romantic obsession and botanical description, this semi-autobiographical piece by Raymond Wilson offers a raw, moving and genuinely humorous exploration of healthy masculinity, self-worth and working-class access to nature. Through his friendship with Flo and her modern nomadic lifestyle, Raymond attempts to escape the greyness of the Glasgow scheme into Scotland's natural world, with some unflinching self-reflection along the way.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: TIM MURRAY IS WITCHES, Underbelly
by Natalie O'Donoghue - August 16, 2023
From The Craft to Wicked to Hocus Pocus, Murray will have you howling at the moon in a tribute to queerness and how we discover our powers once we find our coven. Witches is an hour of stand-up, original comedy songs, drag and also, he flies. Okay, not really, but wouldn't that be sickening?
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: KATY BERRY: DIAMOND GODDESS CRYSTAL PUSSY, Just The Tonic

Now Katy's done doing human shit and out to help other repressed goddesses unleash their power.

A farcical retelling of a classic tale that leaves you wondering why.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: SUSAN RIDDELL: WONDER WOMAN, Gilded Balloon
by Natalie O'Donoghue - August 16, 2023
Susan doesn't think she's 'Wonder Woman' in the traditional sense, more that she wonders what she's doing with her life. Join her as she performs a mix of stand-up and filmed sketches tackling hard-hitting topics like Turkey teeth and air fryers.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: CHRISSIE & THE SKIDDLE WITCH: A CLIMATE CHANGE MUSICAL, Greenside @ Riddle's Court
by Fiona Scott - August 16, 2023
Geologise Theatre brings its environment-focussed musical to the Edinburgh Fringe. Written by Roberta Wilkinson and Matthew Kemp, the show is inspired by conversations with climate researchers and boasts a second-hand set, props and costumes, harmonised with hues of blues and yellows against a painted backdrop of a coastline.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: BENJAMIN ALBOROUGH: ABSOLUTE MONOPOLY, Assembly George Square, The Crate
by Kat Mokrynski - August 16, 2023
While I wanted to love Benjamin Alborough: Absolute Monopoly, the lack of control over the audience led to a disappointing show. Absolutely Monopoly has the potential to be a fantastic show, especially with Alborough’s insane game-host energy, but audience control needs to be established from the beginning in order to keep things going.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: ADRIAN BLISS: INSIDE EVERYONE, Pleasance Dome, AceDome
by Kat Mokrynski - August 16, 2023
Adrian Bliss has made the jump from TikTok to the stage, and I would say it is quite a successful jump. Adrian Bliss: Inside Everyone tells the story of an atom who is determined to make something great out of themselves and does this by hopping onto different “greats” of history - Boudica, Cleopatra, William Shakespeare . . . The list goes on.
EDINBURGH 2023: Review: ROGER MCGOUGH'S MONEY-GO-ROUND, Assembly Rooms
by Christiana Rose - August 16, 2023
Money-Go-Round is based on the classic story of The Wind in the Willows, with the added dimension of being centred around the perils of a gold coin- which is representative of cyclical wealth.
