There have been so many memorable TV shows and movies over the years whose musical themes have been as memorable as the show themselves. And in many cases, they were scored for a jazzy big band. Come join Nineteen, San Jose’s professional Big Band, for a musical celebration as they play some of the most loved and identifiable themes ever to have graced television and movie screens in the past. Mercury News columnist Sal Pizarro will be our emcee for the evening!
Led by San Jose native Gus Kambeitz, Nineteen features many local musicians who regularly perform in the jazz scene and pit orchestras around the Bay Area. You’ll love experiencing jazz in our intimate theater.
Nineteen has been performing in the South Bay for more than 20 years, and has hosted many of the world’s greatest jazz artists in feature concerts. The band has also created two original musical theater collaborations with local theaters highlighting historical jazz greats.
