Legally Blonde The Musical at Berkeley Playhouse

Based on the popular 2001 movie, Legally Blonde The Musical follows Elle Woods, a bubbly blonde sorority sister who appears to have the perfect life, until her boyfriend Warner dumps her to attend Harvard Law. To win him back, she charms her way into the prestigious law school, where she struggles to fit in among her "serious" peers and professors. With the support of new friends who encourage her to stay true to herself, Elle soon realizes her potential, and sets out to prove the world wrong.

This fabulously fun award-winning musical explores Elle's transformation as she tackles stereotypes and discovers new friendships, all with her signature pink Birkin bag and beloved dog Bruiser in hand. With showstopping numbers, heartfelt moments, and plenty of laughs to be had, this musical is so much fun...it should be illegal!

Berkeley Playhouse's production is directed by No'Eau Kahalekulu, with music direction by Camden Daly and choreography by Cat Delos Santos Reyes, and stars Ayani Dorsey as Elle Woods. Book by Heather Hach. Music and Lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin. Based on the novel by Amanda Brown and the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer motion picture.
