Steven Brinberg is "SIMPLY BARBRA"

Steven Brinberg performs his show, "Simply Barbra", to international acclaim both on stage and on television, as he pays homage to all that is Streisand. Steven does not lip sync his performances but portrays Streisand with his own voice. Steven Brinberg has appeared as a special guest with Marvin Hamlisch and the Symphony Orchestras of over a dozen cities across the country and was even hired by Miss Streisand's management to perform at her best friend Donna Karan's birthday party. 

Melissa Manchester
Grammy Award-Winning Singer/Songwriter/Actress

Manchester's music has established her as a compelling singer/songwriter. She co-wrote "Whenever I Call You Friend" with Kenny Loggins, which became a radio classic. In addition, her songs have been recorded by Barbra Streisand, Dusty Springfield, Alison Krauss, and many others. Manchester wrote the score for Disney's "Mouse Detective" and "Lady & The Tramp II," released her 16th CD and celebrated four decades of performing all at the same time.

Jeffery Roberson aka Varla Jean Merman just recently starred in Willard Beckham's new musical Lucky Guy opposite Emmy Winner Leslie Jordan in NY at the Little Schubert Theatre. He also just completed shooting the feature film Varla Jean and The Mushroomheads which he wrote, starred in and produced. Jeffery guest starred as Varla Jean on Ugly Betty last year in the final season of the show. He was also featured on Bravo's Project Runway Season 5 as the winning model for the show's drag challenge.

Valerie Simpson wrote some of the greatest love songs of a generation with her husband and writing partner, Nick Ashford. But when he died of throat cancer in August at the age of 70, Simpson was cast adrift. After spending more than four decades together, she didn't know if she would ever get back on stage. Valerie will perform all their greatest hits in this moving once in a lifetime concert experience. The RRazz Room has been the Bay Area "home" of Nick & Val since its inception, and is proud to be the venue that Val chose to debut her new show.

Peter Asher is the legendary record producer, artist manager and 1/2 of British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon has a superb new multimedia show, which debuted at The RRazz Room in August 2010 for three sold-out performances. The show mixes video clips, photos from his personal archive, storytelling from Peter's history with The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, and a host of other legends from his nearly five decades in the business. Elaine Stritch has appeared in numerous stage plays, musicals, feature films, and TV programs. She is known for her performance of "The Ladies Who Lunch" in Stephen Sondheim's 1970 musical Company, her 2001 one-woman show Elaine Stritch at Liberty, and for her role as Jack Donaghy's mother Colleen on NBC's 30 Rock. She has been nominated for the Tony Award four times in various categories, and won for Elaine Stritch at Liberty. She received an Emmy Award in 2007 for her appearance on 30 Rock.

For over 40 years, Ben Vereen has showcased his versatility and creativity as a performer on the stage as well as in TV and films. On Broadway, Vereen has appeared in productions such as Wicked, Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar and Pippin, which garnered him a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for "Best Actor in a Musical." Ever versatile as an actor, Vereen has also created memorable roles such as the unforgettable "Chicken George" in Roots and Louis Armstrong in Louis Armstrong - Chicago Style. Ben's television guest appearances have included How I Met Your Mother, Grey's Anatomy (for which he won the Prism Award), House of Payne, Law and Order: Criminal Intent and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, to name just a few.

John Epperson, appearing as his alter ego Lypsinka, has always delved into powerful womanhood for his groundbreaking shows. Her name first came to the attention of the music public when Bette Midler's version of Amanda's song THE ROSE hit number one all over the world in 1979. But it was Amanda's performance of her own song on the Golden Globes (she won), Grammys (she didn't) and The Tonight Show that launched her career as a singer as well as songwriter.

In June of 1979, after having already paid plenty of dues, Cheryl was coming out of The Baked Potato, a small jazz club in LA, when her manager asked her if she would like to audition for a spot in The Manhattan Transfer. This was the chance she had been waiting for in her career. She remembers being ecstatic and says that her scream of excitement could be heard for blocks. She was even more excited when she later nailed the audition, and became a member of The Manhattan Transfer.

Founded in Philadelphia in the early 1950s as "The Charlemages," the group changed its name to "Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes" in the 1960s. They recorded several hits on Gamble & Huff's Philadelphia International label between 1972 and 1976. Despite group founder and original lead singer Harold Melvin's top billing, lead singer Teddy Pendergrass was their most famous member. In 1975, the group was joined by vocalist Sharon Paige. Harold Melvin's Blue Notes will sing all the greatest hits.

It was 1962 that Motown's Artist and Repertoire Director William "Mickey" Stevenson first heard the voice that would become synonymous with "the sound of young America." He invited her to audition at the new Motown Records headquarters, "Hitsville, USA." Though the audition never happened, within a year, Martha had taken the reigns of the company's A&R department. She saw that musicians showed up on time and got paid. She watched, learned, and whenever opportunity presented itself, she sang.

Shirley Jones An Evening Of Story & Song

Shirley Jones was virtually unknown when Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein cast her as Laurie in the 1955 movie version of their hit stage musical Oklahoma!. She later played the same role on Broadway and established a career in both theater and the movies, including the musicals The Music Man (1962) and Carousel (1956). She won a 1960 Academy Award for her portrayal of a prostitute in the film Elmer Gantry. From 1970-74 she played Shirley Partridge on the TV show The Partridge Family.

Carly Ozard got her start with The RRazz Room after winning "Best New Cabaret Performer, 2009" and debuted her one-woman show Bewitched, Bothered and Bipolar to a welcoming audience, in April 2010. "Somebody to Love: My Musical Tribute to Freddie Mercury" debuted in October 2010 and was back again in May 2011. Her last show, Something Wonderful? ran for three nights in November 2011. Having been in NYC for several months, San Francisco will see what Ozard will have in store for November 2012.

She has stockpiled myriad and outrageous, wacky musical commentaries on the 12 days of everything from Santa, Jesus, Teddy Bears, Elves, Snow, and of course ... Bette Davis

10th Annual Soulful Sounds Of The Season
A Joyous Holiday Concert For All Ages
Soulful, swinging vocalist Clairdee and her San Francisco-based sextet celebrate the season with an entertaining variety of jazz, R&B, and contemporary grooves for kids from one to ninety-two. The 75-minute program includes classic favorites from Vince Guaraldi's "A Charlie Brown Christmas," and Sammy Cahn's "Let It Snow," to Frank Loesser's "Baby It's Cold Outside," as well as a few surprises. The music will warm your heart, lift your soul and send you dancing into the new year.

Somewhat of a departure from Jordan's usual autobiographical style, "Deck Them Halls, Ya'll" is an evening of characters lamenting or celebrating the Christmas season. Jordan goes full out on this one with costumes and music. In his words, "Honey, it's a dog and pony show!" "Deck Them Halls, Ya'll!" is both scream out loud funny and life affirming while rolling to a very, very surprising conclusion.
