DRACULA: an interactive melodrama

Dracula - in Auburn Oct 10, 11 at 7 p.m. and Oct 11 @ 4 p.m.  $22 adults, $15 Youth.

Experience thrills, chills, romance, drama and laughter as the brand-new play, DRACULA: A Melodrama, swoops into intimate venues October 8 through 17 for its opening run in Roseville, Auburn, Rocklin and Lincoln, as the first show of Placer Repertory Theater’s 2025-2026 season.

DRACULA: A Melodrama is a deliciously tongue-in-cheek new play inspired by the characters and plot of Bram Stoker’s immortal Gothic thriller. Re-imagined as an interactive melodrama, audiences are invited to play along as they boo or cheer from their seats or join the actors onstage for this on-script performance where patrons may experience every dastardly deed as Dracula corrupts all around him.

-       Will the flirtatious Lucy Westenra and pure-hearted Mina Murray survive the Count’s hypnotic beckoning?

-       Will the obsessed Professor Van Helsing succeed in vanquishing the foul fiend?

-       And will Jonathan Harker muster the love and courage to save Mina from the clutches of the diabolical Count?

Audiences will enjoy this new play, rich with thrilling suspense, earnest drama and nervous laughter.  DRACULA: A Melodrama is an immersive, spine-tingling play where you may be a villain or may support the last line of defense, making it an exciting and engaging date-night or family activity.
