The GroovaLottos at Oversoul Theatre Collective, Inc.

As part of New Bedford's celebration of Cape Verdean Heritage Month, Oversoul Theatre Collective, Inc. will feature The GroovaLottos, a multi-Grammy-nominated soul-funk band with Cape Verdean roots, on July 25 during the Summer Sound Series by the waterfront. This performance caps off a month of activities that include pop-up dance events and the inaugural Forgotten Roots Festival, all designed to amplify Cape Verdean voices and honor Black and Indigenous musical traditions. Raeha Ramos, OTC's Executive Director, leads the initiative to engage the community through accessible arts programming, drawing on her deep connections to the local cultural fabric.
