Angels in America pt. 1: Millenium Approaches, directed by Brian McEleney, explores the intertwining lives of individuals grappling with personal and societal crises in the 1980s. Set against the backdrop of the AIDS epidemic, the story follows Joe Pitt, an ambitious clerk, and his wife Harper, a troubled agoraphobic, as they navigate their challenging relationship and the mythic struggles of those around them. The cast includes roles for strong characters like Louis Ironson and Prior Walter, who illuminate the human experience in a time of uncertainty. Performances begin on May 29 and run through June 22, 2025, at The Gamm Theatre.
