Same Difference at Wilbury Theatre Group

Same Difference is a World Premiere play by Don Mays set in Providence in 1993. A gang leader from Harlem arrives wounded at his ex-girlfriend's apartment in the middle of the night, unaware that her roommate is gay and grieving. Set against the twin epidemics of AIDS and drug violence, the play follows two men the world treated as disposable who are certain they have nothing in common, and the woman standing between them who can see exactly who they both are. Don Mays is a recent collaborator with Wilbury Theatre Group, having directed productions of The Comeuppance and Fat Ham, as well as the World Premiere of Silhouette of a Silhouette.
