An intimate portrayal of Lincoln's evolution, capturing his complex character and presenting a multifaceted figure, a humble man grappling with self-doubt and haunted by premonitions of the Civil War, his own tragic fate, and his journey to the presidency are vividly brought to life, showcasing the complexities of his character and relationships.

Time travel back to the age of film noir when black and white movie dramas were played to the hilt with overarching mannerisms, full of prototypical characters and not too subtle close ups full of tension inducing musical scores. The Shaw Festival is producing one from that ilk with the classic Agatha Christie courtroom mystery WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION and the result is mesmerizing audiences at the Royal George Theatre.

Hilariously funny, this well acted the production features black humor, searing one-liners and plenty of emotion.

While Cats”might not be everyone's favorite Broadway show, due to its limited plot and unusual format, there is no denying that the energy and talent of this cast, the creativity of the choreography, the always incredible staging/directing by Rene Staub, and live orchestra, gave  this production of Cats something for everyone.

Sean Riley and his company have created something quite remarkable, poignant, and personal.

What did our critic think of 9 TO 5 at Music Theatre Of Wichita At Century II Concert Hall?9 to 5 is one of my favorite shows - it’s entertaining, it’s full of comedic moments, and it has some great lessons in self love, trusting your instincts, and believing in yourself. It shows us not only how far we have come in terms of respecting women’s rights, but also shows us how much more needs to be done in terms of equal rights for not only women, but for all minority groups.

Orangemite has adapted the two plays with provided narration which shorted the time to 2 1/2 hours to deliver York, PA the first live performance of these Shakespeare plays. Dr. William Wolfgang directed, narrated, and provided both piano and trumpet music (often simultaneously)!

Like its main character, R.A.V.E. is weighed down by some overly ambitious intersectional goals; however, as a party and as an emotional experience, it earns a R.A.V.E. review.A.V.E. at Outside The March?

While at times THE LION KING seems like a note for note repetition of the movie, what pushes the musical into new territory is the costume design, a stellar group of actors, and of course, an empowering soundtrack.

The problem is not that it’s bad — it’s certainly serviceable — so much as it’s unmemorable. Something that should never be said about a character as dynamic as Mrs. Doubtfire.

Robert is a party and always has a genuine smile on his face, as if, in his own impish way, he is inviting anyone with joy in their hearts to join him. I will say, there is one major flaw with every Robert Bannon show, at least the two I’ve seen: they aren’t long enough!
