Phantasma Arts launches its inaugural season with Next to Normal, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey.
At the center of the story is Diana Goodman, a suburban mother struggling with bipolar disorder, grief, and the lasting impact of trauma on her family. As her husband Dan fights to hold their household together, their daughter Natalie searches for a life beyond the family’s pain.
With an electrifying rock score and an unflinching exploration of love, loss, mental illness, and resilience, Next to Normal is both deeply intimate and emotionally powerful. Phantasma Arts’ inaugural production brings together a dynamic cast and creative team for a bold, compassionate staging of one of contemporary musical theatre’s most acclaimed works.
Next to Normal is directed by Jacob Nye and musical directed by Mike Walker. The production stars Lindsay Lohnson as Diana, Alex Mohajer as Dan, Emmon Amid as Gabe, Keiva Bradley as Natalie, Max Chester as Henry, and Chris Bona as Dr. Fine.
