A world premiere play by Yussef El Guindi, directed by Melory Mirashrafi, Slay is a quick-witted dark comedy about the absurd nature of contemporary times and the complicated nature of pet ownership. Hossam, a recently fired arts journalist, and Rachel, an optometrist, discover their dog Albert has been growling, lashing out, and running away. A pet therapist attributes Albert's altered behavior to the political climate, and as tensions escalate at home, the three are pulled into a maelstrom with deadly consequences.
