Whiskey Dixie & The Big Wet Country is a raunchy outlaw-country musical about a sexually frustrated singing-cowgirl who finds herself on a tragicomic ride from Hell and will do whatever it takes to get off. The show, written & directed by women, will make its world premiere on September 21st and run through October 13th at Imago Theatre in Portland, OR.

The Lost Treasures Collection, a series of rarely performed musical gems, is back for a ninth season at Lakewood Theatre Company on its Side Door Stage. This year three musicals featuring the theme "Hey, Look Us Over," will be presented in a concert/cabaret style.  The shows are presented script-in-hand, with minimal staging. No sets, no props (free from the usual trappings of a fully staged production). The ninth season includes: On A Clear Day You Can See Forever (Oct 19-20, 2018), Promises, Promises (Feb. 15-16, 2019), and Wildcat (April 12-13, 2019)

Starting October 7, Artists Repertory Theatre presents Bess Wohl's Small Mouth Sounds, directed by Shawn Lee. Artists Rep's 2016/17 season featured Wohl's American Hero, which was also directed by Lee. Small Mouth Sounds runs from October 7 through November 4 on the Alder Stage.

Award-winning actor, playwright and two-time cancer survivor Valerie David is bringing her critically acclaimed, comical one-woman show The Pink Hulk: One Woman's Journey to Find the Superhero Within to Dance Naked Production's Come Inside Festival in October, which details Ms. David's battle with cancer and how she beat the odds to become cancer-free. She is thrilled to debut her show in Portland after just returning from a successful European tour: The Pink Hulk received The WOW Award from Sweden's Gothenburg Fringe Festival. And in September, her inspiring play was a finalist in the New York New Works Festival on Theatre Row.

A Life begins preview performances on September 29, opens on October 5, and runs through November 11 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan, who has frequently partnered with Bock, will direct. Nat DeWolf (Broadway: Take Me Out) will make his company debut as the astrology-loving and hopelessly single Nate Martin. DeWolf is joined by Cycerli Ash, also making her debut at The Armory, as well as returning artists Dana Green (Major Barbara and many others) and Gary Norman (Our Town).
