George Balanchine, known as The Father of American Ballet, broke ground when he put his twist on traditional ballet standards and techniques. Ib Andersen, Ballet Arizona’s Artistic Director, will present three of Balanchine’s works with musical accompaniment from The Phoenix Symphony including one never before performed in Arizona, Raymonda Variations. Date(s): · Thursday, May 4 at 7 p.m. · Friday, May 5 at 7:30 p.m. · Saturday, May 6 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. · Sunday, May 7 at 1 p.m.
