A darkly comic solo show inspired by the extraordinary true story behind Beauty and the Beast, blending drag, clown, and handmade theatricality. Queen Catherine de' Medici recounts how she becomes a theatermaker and transforms Petrus Gonsalvus, a 16th-century man born in the Canary Islands with hypertrichosis, into the greatest spectacle of the Renaissance. Created and performed by Edu Díaz, developed with Associate Director Federica Borlenghi and Costume Design by Pablo Jesús Gatto. Presented as part of Cannonball at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
