Misery at Hedgerow Theatre

Based on Stephen King's novel and adapted by William Goldman, Misery follows successful romance novelist Paul Sheldon, played by Bruce Graham, who wakes from a devastating car crash in the secluded home of Annie Wilkes, played by Emma Gibson, his rescuer and self-proclaimed number one fan. When Annie discovers Paul has killed off her beloved character Misery Chastain in his latest manuscript, she becomes determined to force him to correct what she sees as a terrible mistake. The production is directed by Catharine Slusar and unfolds as an unsettling battle of wills in which the boundaries between care and control dissolve.
