Set in the late eighties, Merlin and Wart takes place at Byberry Mental Hospital on the outskirts on Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Merlin says he is a wizard who ages backwards and has the ability to perform magic spells. Wart, his protege, is an atheist who once had a promising career as a physicist in front of him, but lost it when he fired a 32-calibur pistol into a movie theater during the film, Platoon. Merlin, a diagnosed sociopath, makes it his mission to convince Wart of his divinity, and goes so far as to cast a magic spell, obliterating all people from the planet and halting time completely. Without food, medication or even running water, how will Merlin and Wart overcome their newfound reality?
