Watch Almost Famous star Solea Pfeiffer sing “The Truth Is” from the musical The Violet Hour in this official music video here! On the Studio Cast Recording, Pfeiffer plays Jessie Brewster, a cafe singer during the early days of the Harlem Renaissance.

Songwriting team Will Reynolds and Eric Price, winners of the Fred Ebb Award for Musical Theatre Writing, have released of a music video for their song “Getting Closer” from their forthcoming musical Radioactive, performed by Hannah Corneau (Wicked).

It tells the story of a family of stage magicians who find themselves living under the same roof for the first time in years. In this song, Tina, who is the family's maid and maintains their ever-growing collection of artifacts from the history of magic, reveals her larger ambitions. Legendary civil rights activist and author David Mixner just premiered Oh Hell No!, an evening autobiographical storytelling, in a special one-night-only event last week on October 27, 2014 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street). Today, Cutting Edge Composers is thankful for its talented composers, especially Will Reynolds. His song 'I Knew a Boy' was sung by Spring Awakening's Blake Daniel at their concert at the Canal Room. When asked about his inspiration for writing this song, Will said 'The first lyric is 'We sneak by disaster-free courting catastrophe' which basically sums up my experience as a 20-something. 'I Knew a Boy' was a warning to myself when I realized I had let myself get a little too lost.'

'Once Upon A Time In New York City'- a concert series featuring a slate of brand new songs about the Big Apple, made its 54 Below debut on Nov. 19. Audra McDonald' recently released her first solo album in seven years, Go Back Home, and just launched a concert tour across North America, which kicked off with a performance at the Midland Center for the Arts in Midland, MI, on June 8.
