Go inside the first day of rehearsals for The Shakespeare Theatre's A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE & MURDER! Filled with unforgettable music and non-stop laughs, Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak's 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical is based on the 1907 novel The Autobiography of a Criminal and the 1949 film Kind Hearts and Coronets, starring Sir Alec Guinness.

Tony Award Winner and Disney Legend Lea Salonga will make a special appearance as the host of CollaborAzian's production of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder on July 15th, 2021. The abridged version of Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak's musical is directed by Sesame Street's Alan Muraoka and features an all-Asian American cast and production team. Today we rewind to 2013, when A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder was getting ready for Broadway. The musical premiered at Hartford Stage before arriving at the Walter Kerr Theatre, where it played for 905 performances.

San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon presents its first production of 2020, the critically-acclaimed Tony Award-winning a?oeBest Musicala?? A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER. Based on a novel by Roy Horniman, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER features a book & lyrics by Robert L. Freedman, and music & lyrics by Steven Lutvak. 42nd Street Moon's production will be directed by Daren A.C. Carollo, with music direction by Daniel Thomas and choreography by Christina Lazo. A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER runs from February 26 a?" March 15, 2020 and will perform at San Francisco's Gateway Theatre (215 Jackson St, San Francisco, CA 94111). The press opening will take place on Saturday, February 29 at 6:00 p.m. Tickets range from $31 - $72 and can be purchased through the Box Office at (415) 255-8207 or online at www.42ndstmoon.org.

The Kleban Foundation just presented the 28th Annual Kleban Prize for Musical Theatre. Adjudication in the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist category resulted in a tie between Alan Schmuckler and Amanda Yesnowitz, and the 2018 Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre librettist has been awarded to Christian Duhamel.

The 2017-2018 National Tour of the Tony Award winner for Best Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, produced by NETworks Presentations, tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession, by any means necessary. A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical played its final performance on the Great White Way last night, Sunday, January 17, 2016. In honor of the production's acclaimed run, the cast of the 'GGLAM' tour took it upon themselves to send the D'Ysquith of Broadway off with a tribute of TITANIC proportions. Check it out below!

To mark the occasion of Jefferson Mays' 6,000th death in the Tony Award-winning Best Musical A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, the production held a funeral procession down West 48th Street, as cast members and fans, all dressed in mourning attire, followed Mr. Mays, lying in state inside a glass-sided horse-drawn hearse, to the Walter Kerr Theatre stage door. Three of Broadway's most popular musical creators, Steven Lutvak, Jeanine Tesori, and David Yazbek, recently gathered to perform their own work in an intimate evening of music as part of the Library of Congress' Songs of America project. Bryce Pinkham, who is currently starring in 2014's Tony Award Winner for Best Musical A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, has even more then performing at the Walter Kerr Theatre eight times a week to think about. Pinkham is the co-founder of an organization called Zara Aina (meaning 'Share Life') which brings theatre to at-risk children in Madagascar.
