Today we rewind to the opening night of Matilda on Broadway in 2012. The musical, which came straight from its Olivier Award-winning run in London, starred Bertie Carvel, Gabriel Ebert, Lesli Margherita, and Lauren Ward with Oona Laurence, Sophia Gennusa, Bailey Ryon and Milly Shapiro in the title role. Matilda would go on the run for 1554 performances at the Shubert Theatre.
Yael Silver, Robin Carus and Van Dean today released “We Are The World,” a music video featuring an all-star roster of theater artists and calling for healing and unity in the world today. Broadway Records President Van Dean, Executive Producer Gina Holland and No Bully Executive Producer Michelle Shapiro today launched the charitable recording, I HAVE A VOICE (music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Robin Lerner) with 100 percent of the profits to benefit No Bully.

The Shapiro Sisters' debut album LIVE OUT LOUD: LIVE AT 54 BELOW will be released on September 9th, 2014. The Shapiro Sisters, 11-year old Milly Shapiro (Matilda, Original Broadway Cast of Matilda The Musical) and older sister, 14-year-old Abigail Shapiro (Cindy Lou Who, How The Grinch Stole Christmas), recorded the album live at the famed 54 BELOW over a series of three performances this past May and June. The Shapiro Sisters will be returning to 54 BELOW this Thursday, August 28th at 7:00 PM for an encore performance to celebrate the launch of their new CD.
