The Wiener Staatsoper has announced its 2026/27 season, which director Bogdan Roščić will present to the public during a matinee in the main house on Sunday, April 12 at 11:00 AM, broadcast live on ORF III, play.wiener-staatsoper.at, and the company's YouTube channel.

Christian Thielemann conducts the second opera in Wagner‘s Ring cycle, “Die Walküre,” a moving epic about a family in conflict. The Berlin State Opera production features baritone Michael Volle as Wotan and soprano Anja Kampe as Brünnhilde. Watch the excerpt from Carnegie Hall+ here!

Wagnerians in Concert features sopranos Christine Goerke and Elza van den Heever, tenor Andreas Schager, and baritone Michael Volle, live from the Hessisches Staatstheater, in Wiesbaden, Germany, on May 8. Three Divas showcases sopranos Ailyn Pérez and Nadine Sierra and mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, live from the Opéra Royal-Château de Versailles, in France, on May 22. The 2010 Olivier Awards will take place on 21 March 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with Spring Awakening, Enron, Jerusalem and A Little Night Music among the standouts of the season with the most nominations. The Laurence Olivier Awards were established in 1976 as The Society of West End Theatre Awards, and Lord Olivier agreed to have his name associated with them in 1984. The Awards are run by The Society of London Theatre but are adjudicated by panels that are equally made up of members of the theatregoing public and experts chosen for their knowledge and professional experience.
