Tony winner LaChanze, who is currently starring in a?oeA Christmas Carol,a?? and her daughter Celia Rose Gooding, who is making her Broadway debut in a?oeJagged Little Pill,a?? stopped by TODAY on Tuesday to talk about making Broadway history! 

Two boys share the role of Tiny Tim in Broadway's new production of A Christmas Carol. But that's not all they share.

The holiday masterpiece, A Christmas Carol, opened on Broadway last night, November 20, following critically acclaimed runs at The Old Vic, London. Playwright Jack Thorne and director Matthew Warchus offer a magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens' classic story. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the big night and we're taking you to inside the festivities below!

The holiday masterpiece, A Christmas Carol, is currently in previews on Broadway this holiday season, following critically acclaimed runs at The Old Vic, London. Playwright Jack Thorne and director Matthew Warchus offer a magical new interpretation of Charles Dickens' classic story.  The production began previews on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street), and will open on Wednesday, November 20, 2019. 

Next up at New York City Center is I Married an Angel, the second Encores! production of the City Center 75th Anniversary Season. In addition to Sara Mearns as the Angel of the title, the production will feature Phillip Attmore (Peter Mueller), Max Baker (General Lucash), Mark Evans (Count Willy Palaffi), Ann Harada (Duchess of Holstein-Kuloff), Nikki M. James (Countess Peggy Palaffi), Hayley Podschun (Anna Murphy), and Tom Robbins (Harry Mischka Szigetti).

BroadwayWorld has an inside look at Pamela's First Musical, a world premiere with a book by Wendy Wasserstein and Christopher Durang, music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by David Zippel, directed and choreographed by Graciela Daniele at Two River Theatre. More than 20 years after 'it started with a dream,' Pamela's First Musical will have its world premiere this fall at Two River Theater. The theater launches its 25th Anniversary Season with this long-awaited show, a valentine to the musical theater and a testament to its enduring power.

See the brand-new music video for 'Sonya Alone' from the immersive Broadway musical Natasha, Pierre, & the Great Comet of 1812. Starring actress Brittain Ashford, who plays Sonya in the show, the video features one of the show's most tender moments as the actress sings the moving, act two ballad.
