Entertainment icon Debbie Allen, who is directing the forthcoming Broadway revival of Joe Turner's Come and Gone, recently visited Sherri to talk about her wide-spanning career. During the conversation, she previewed the new Broadway production and the August Wilson play shared how it came together. Watch the interview now.

Seattle Rep will present the Broadway production of August Wilson's Jitney, beginning February 28 in the Bagley Wright Theater. Directed by Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Jitney was the last of Wilson's plays to premiere on Broadway, where it won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.

Center Theatre Group is currently presenting August Wilson's 'Jitney' at the Mark Taper Forum. Performances will continue through December 29. The production recently held a student matinee, and you can experience the event alongside first-time high school theatregoers from across SoCal.

The touring production (Philippines, Singapore) of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, starring Tony winner Lea Salonga and Jett Pangan, will launch in Manila October 11th, 2019. The hit musical Waitress opened on November 9, 2018, at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati City, Manila, Philippines. Based on the beloved film by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress features music and lyrics from six-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles ('Love Song,' 'Brave') and book by Jessie Nelson. Waitress tells the story of a pie maker named Jenna who, despite the mundanity of her life, finds comfort and reckoning in the simple magic of baking. With the help of her two friends, Dawn and Becky, she dreams of a way out of her loveless marriage and musters the courage to change her life for the better.

BroadwayWorld has an inside look at Pamela's First Musical, a world premiere with a book by Wendy Wasserstein and Christopher Durang, music by Cy Coleman and lyrics by David Zippel, directed and choreographed by Graciela Daniele at Two River Theatre. More than 20 years after 'it started with a dream,' Pamela's First Musical will have its world premiere this fall at Two River Theater. The theater launches its 25th Anniversary Season with this long-awaited show, a valentine to the musical theater and a testament to its enduring power.

Olivier Award winner Lesli Margherita plays 'Cindy Lou Who' in the world premiere of Matthew Lombardo's new comedy with a twist of rhyme, WHO'S HOLIDAY! directed by Carl Andress opening tomorrow, November 28.
