Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant (2015), presents the fourth show in its 2016 season, Miss Saigon, with music by Claude- Michel Schonberg; lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr., and Alain Boublil; adapted from the original French lyrics by Alain Boublil. The show is directed by Brian Clowdus, music direction is by Chris Brent Davis, and choreography is by Bubba Carr. The show opened on July 21 and has already been extended to August 14. The West End revival of MISS SAIGON closed yesterday, February 27th, after a nearly two-year run. The show's creators, Cameron Mackintosh, Alain Boublil, and Claude-Michel Schonberg, took to the stage at the final curtain yesterday to speak about the production's success. Mackintosh told fans that the 25th Anniversary production of MISS SAIGON was filmed, and he said that because it was so successful, he believes that the musical will find itself in a big screen adaptation very soon!
