Broadway Sessions recently held its 3rd annual Black History Month celebration. We invited an all star roster of Broadway talent to share songs and stories reflecting the influence, impact and legacy of black artists on Broadway and beyond. HOLY MOLY! This was one of the most incredible nights of music we have enjoyed. Beyond that it was moving, hilarious and profound. We also enjoyed performances from 'Rising Stars' Richard Baskin Jr. and Aneesa Folds. OH, and maybe just an impromptu pre show performance by Tony-winning legend FAITH PRINCE! It was a good night.

The top growing current Broadway plays were Network (5.51%), To Kill A Mockingbird (5.28%), The Ferryman (2.73%), American Son (2.71%) and The Waverly Gallery (2.44%). The top growing upcoming Broadway productions were Oklahoma! (10.42%), Ain't Too Proud (7.33%), Hadestown (3.43%), BeetleJuice (2.29%) and Tootsie The Musical (2.18%).

The top growing current Broadway musicals were The Prom (2.55%), The Cher Show (1.42%), King Kong (1.04%), My Fair Lady (1.03%) and Pretty Woman (1.03%). The top growing current Broadway plays were The New One (8.45%), To Kill A Mockingbird (8.09%), Network (7.02%), The Waverly Gallery (3.54%) and The Ferryman (3.16%).

Broadway Sessions partied like it was 1999 recently as we welcomed the cast of The New Group production of Clueless, The Musical. Cast members took the stage to perform their favorite 90's jams, tapping into the song book of Whitney, Mariah, Celine, Cher, Christina, Britney and even Hanson. Enjoy highlights from performances by Zurin Villanueva, Katie Goffman, Justin Mortelliti, L'ogan J'ones, Jeff Kuhr, Talya Groves, Brett Thiele and more. Plus special performances by our Rising Star, 16 year old Fiona Scott.

The top growing current Broadway plays were The New One (7.44%), To Kill A Mockingbird (6.56%), The Ferryman (6.30%), Network (4.53%) and The Waverly Gallery (2.99%).

When in comes to portraying one of pop culture's biggest superstars of all time, it takes not one... not two... but three Broadway powerhouses to bring her to life onstage. Cher is on Broadway this season, played at three stages of her life by the incomparable Stephanie J. Block, Teal Wicks and Micaela Diamond.
