Billy Lykken, who Cabaret Scenes called a "thrilling discovery," will return to the Metropolitan Room on for a special Gay Pride weekend performance on Saturday, June 24 at 4:00PM in his critically-acclaimed show Lykken "The Sacred Monster" Live!

The Metropolitan Room presents Stacy Sullivan's A Night at the Troubadour -Presenting Elton John and David Ackles, which explores one night in the life of the late David Ackles, a singer-songwriter who recorded four highly regarded albums between 1968 and 1973. Along the way, he gathered a group of ardent fans including Phil Collins, Elvis Costello and Elton John, for whom Ackles opened at the Troubadour in a twist of fate on August 25, 1970.

Big-hearted Broadway actor/singer David Baida, who wowed his way to a 2016 MetroStar win this past summer, brings us an "Unexpected Surprise," his MetroStar Talent Challenge-winning show, beginning Today March 8.

Billy Lykken, who Cabaret Scenes called a "thrilling discovery," will make Metropolitan Room debut on Sunday, February 5th at 4:00PM in Sacred Monster. The show, which premiered earlier this year at Don't Tell Mama for two sold-out performances, was recently nominated for a 2016 BroadwayWorld Cabaret Award for "Best Debut Show."

Stacy Sullivan will reprise her show A Night at The Troubadour - Presenting Elton John and David Ackles, in two performances this winter at TRIAD (January 9th, 9pm - an APAP showcase, open to the public) and Metropolitan Room (February 9th, 7pm). In addition, she will bring her award winning, It's a Good Day- A Tribute to Miss Peggy Lee, to the Sheen Center in Greenwich Village in a benefit for Astor's Lawrence F. Hickey Center for Child Development on Saturday, Feb. 4th at 7 pm.

 Critically acclaimed artists Stacy Sullivan and Todd Murray brought a thought provoking, sometime humorous, and musically entertaining look at the very human quandary of 'should I stay or should I go with '  with their show Separate Ways to Feinstein's/54 Below last night and Broadwayworld was there. They say that breaking up is hard to do; most certainly. But with writers such as George Gershwin, Joni Mitchell, Adam Guettel, Adele, we find that skies can be sunny blue or grey, and goodbyes can be happy. Songwriters have looked for ways to express the angst of people's need to be joined and separate at the same time. Todd and Stacy are masters at bringing honesty and life to their lyrics.

RISE BAR is seeking its next RISING STAR! Hosted by Broadway's Marty Thomas (Xanadu, The Secret Garden, Wicked), the RISING STAR competition begins Sunday March 6! The contestants will be competing in a 10 week elimination style contest for a $1000 cash prize and paid bookings at RISE Bar with their respective solo show. In addition to its cash and prize package, RISING STAR is offering networking opportunities with guest celebrity judges, fantastic exposure and valuable live stage experience. The winner will receive a headshot package by Claire Buffie photography. They will also receive a demo package provided by Yasuhiko Fukuoka. Competition judges Courtney Reed and Jelani Remy also donated generous prize packages from THE LION KING And ALADDIN on Broadway.

On Monday, April 27th, the Metropolitan Room was packed with Broadway & Aspiring artists who shared new works and cheered each other on at the Broadway Artists & Friends Open Mic & Mingle. Hosted by JERSEY BOYS' Peter Gregus, audiences were treated to an up close look at singers trying out new songs & sharing their stories. The evening was intimate, joyful and full of opportunities for everyone involved to make invaluable industry connections. In its fourth year, presented by AARP, The Outstanding Filipino Americans in New York (TOFA-NY) Awards, the grandest celebration that caps the monthlong Filipino American History Month in New York City, has announced today that Filipino-American EGOT holder Bobby Lopez ('Frozen,' 'The Book of Mormon'); fashion designer and philanthropist Josie Natori; Dean of Academic Affairs at Columbia University Sheila Coronel; the people behind Fiesta In America, an annual trade and cultural expo; and the medical mission volunteers of Philippine Medical Association in America (PMAA) will be feted with the highest honors--The Heritage Awards--at TOFA-NY Awards ceremony, which will be held at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall (881 7th Ave, New York, NY) on Saturday, October 25, at 7 p.m.
