From the start to end of 2018, Art Factory will have presented eight fully produced musicals, and six explosive concerts. Four musicals and five concerts remain for audiences to enjoy before the end of the year!

Previews began June 7, and the show officially opens tonight, June 13. Performances run through July 7 on the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage (30 Union Street).

The Acting Company presented its one-night-only benefit reading of The Night of the Iguana, Tennessee Williams' feverishly poetic 1961 drama, at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College (68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues), on Monday, June 11.

Drury Lane Theatre announces casting for its sultry summer drama, Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, directed by Tony nominee Marcia Milgrom Dodge (2009 Broadway revival of Ragtime, Drury Lane's Smokey Joe's Cafe). Cat on a Hot Tin Roof runs July 5 - August 26, 2018, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, July 12 at 8:00 p.m.

Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in the Berkshires, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, presents the regional premiere of The Cake by Bekah Brunstetter (NBC's This Is Us). The Georgetown Palace Theatre has a reputation for doing the big, classic musicals, those huge shows that are barely contained within the walls of the Springer Stage. In contrast 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is a modern show with an ensemble cast of just nine actors (a very small cast by Palace standards) it certainly overwhelms in entertainment value.

Barrington Stage Company and 1Berkshire in partnership kick off this year's ½ TIX program on June 12, 2018. This popular program, in its 17th year, offers half-price tickets to residents and visitors throughout the Berkshires. Patrons can buy same-day half-price tickets to performances at three conveniently-located ½ TIX booths:  Barrington Stage Company Box Office at 30 Union Street, Pittsfield, Lenox Chamber Visitors Center at 4 Housatonic Street, Lenox and the Triplex Cinema at 70 Railroad Street, Great Barrington. The program runs through September 8, 2018, Tuesday through Sunday from noon until 4:30pm. ½ TIX booths are closed Mondays with ticket sales for Mondays sold on Sundays.

The quintessential backstage musical comedy, '42nd Street' brings Broadway golden-age glamour, a large tap-happy cast and a score chock-filled with American songbook classics to Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) in an all-new production. Directed by Bucks County Playhouse Artistic Associate Hunter Foster and choreographed by Jeremy Dumont, the musical previews June 29 with an official opening night performance on Saturday, June 30 at 7:30 pm and performs through August 4.
