Bucks County Playhouse Celebrates Success Of 42ND STREET

Members of the New Hope Community, including New Hope Borough Mayor Larry Keller, joined with Bucks County Playhouse in celebrating the success of the current production of "42nd Street" - the largest production in the Playhouse's history - by ceremonially renaming Main Street in honor of the show.

Cat on a Hot Tin Roof runs July 5 - August 26, 2018, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, July 12 at 8:00 p.m.

The show features Aaron Alcaraz, Nicholas Barasch, Alana Cauthen, Grace Choi, Karl Josef Co, CJ Eldred, MaryJoanna Grisso, Cory Jeacoma, Noah Plomgren, and Brynn Williams. 'Broadway Celebrates New Musical Theatre' will bring to light the importance of new musical theatre writing and provide a platform for hopeful writers to work with a group of professionals to showcase their work in front of a larger audience.

Bucks County Playhouse's Tap Dance Tuesdays Begin Tonight

Audiences are loving those dancing feet in Bucks County Playhouse's production of "42nd Street." John Timpane of The Philadephia Inquirer noted, "This company can dance up a cavalry charge: The show is a feast of surprisingly precise and athletic tap." Now the Playhouse is inviting the public to join in the fun with Tap Dance Tuesdays.

William Finn was in the house to introduce Comedian, Actress, Writer, and Broadway star Leslie Kritzer to the audience in Mr. Finn's Cabaret last night. The Berkshires answer to Feinstien's/54 Below and Birdland is housed below Barrington Stage Co's St. Germain Stage and has some of the most consummate Broadway and Cabaret stars on it's intimate stage this season. Charles Bush and Marilyn Maye are on the schedule this summer as well as Melissa Manchester on the Mainstage.

MRT Appoints New Director Of Marketing And Communications, David Henderson

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) is pleased to announce that David Henderson, a veteran community engagement, marketing, and communications specialist for the non-profit field, will become the new Director of Marketing and Communications. In this role, which starts June 18, 2018, Henderson will oversee marketing, communications, and public relations for the theatre. He joins MRT's senior leadership team and will work closely with Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas, who started in the fall, and Artistic Director Sean Daniels, beginning his fourth season at MRT.
