Following up on his multi-award-winning Shakespeare films, Macbeth, and Hamlet, producer/director Christopher Carter Sanderson has announced that Emmy Award Winning couple, William Daniels and Bonnie Bartlett have joined the cast of his production of Richard III.  Richard III marks the first time that the real-life husband and wife have worked together since their renowned roles on TV shows, St. Elsewhere and Boy Meets World.

Christopher Carter Sanderson announces that British author, Neil Gaiman, has endorsed his renaming of the two famous Murderers in his feature film of Shakespeare’s Richard III. “Croup” and “Vandemar” have been changed in homage to Mr. Gaiman’s magical Neverwhere series.

Memphis is the story of Huey Calhoun (loosely based on real-life 1950s disc jockey Dewey Phillips) and his mission to bring blues and soul music to a white southern audience in a VERY segregated Memphis. Huey optimistically believes that music can transcend race, and with him on his journey is aspiring singer Felicia Farrell. The Old Globe today announced plans for the long-awaited full reopening of its three theatres in Balboa Park. Audiences will be able to once again gather in the Globe’s outdoor theatre starting June 4 and in the two indoor theatres in September.

Two years ago, I revisited French Woods Festival of the Arts (which I attended from 1999 to 2002 as a camper/teen actor and then as an assistant director/stage manager) and BroadwayWorld kindly published an article I wrote about the experience.
