Canadian country music recording artist and rising star Melissa Endean is celebrating the release of her new single, Til We're Dirt, a dark yet catchy song that pushes the boundaries of country music for a completely unique sound.

Hey Melbourne, welcome to the 60's! It's time to put on your most colourful and crazily patterned outfit, tease your hair big, bold, and beautiful, and head on down to the Regent Theatre. Hairspray is back and this time it's the original Broadway version of the musical! Having grown up listening to the original Broadway cast album, it was a sheer delight for a theatre nerd like me to see the original version of Hairspray here in Australia. Seeing this production's opening night performance which coincided exactly 20 years from Hairspray's Broadway premiere was also a big fat cherry on the top! While some elements of the original version do now feel slightly dated and some of this production's casting choices don't always allow Hairspray's vibrant characters to shine as brightly as one would like, you can't deny that this show is just so much fun. From the moment the show opens with 'Good Morning Baltimore' to the standing ovation worthy finale of 'You Can't Stop The Beat', Hairspray will put a smile on your face and have you dancing in your seat.

Comedian Taylor Tomlinson announced that she will play a second show at The VETS on Saturday, October 8 at 9:30pm. The Have It All Tour quickly sold out the 7pm performance.

After skipping a year, the seventh (almost) annual Cloris Awards will honor eight local theater companies that produced 33 shows during the 2021-2022 season.

Returning cast members Andrew Levitt aka Nina West (from “RuPaul's Drag Race”) as Edna Turnblad, Niki Metcalf as Tracy Turnblad, Sandie Lee as Motormouth Maybelle, Billy Dawson as Corny Collins, Ryahn Evers as Amber Von Tussle, Addison Garner as Velma Von Tussle, and Emery Henderson as Penny Pingleton will be joined by new principal cast members Charlie Bryant III as Seaweed J. Stubbs, Ralph Prentice Daniel as Wilbur Turnblad, Brayden Krikke as Link Larkin and Joi D. McCoy as Little Inez.

Live comedy shows are back for a second season at the Marriott Boston/Quincy with two performances scheduled for August 20, 2022, at 7:00 and 9:30 pm. The shows are presented by JM Productions, Jim McCue's Comedy Club, and the team of the Boston Comedy Festival.  

The second and final production of Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston’s 2022 season is Stephen Schwartz’s PIPPIN, originally produced on the Broadway stage in 1972 with direction and choreography by Bob Fosse, and revived/reimagined in 2013 by Diane Paulus at the American Repertory Theater before going to Broadway. Undaunted by following in those two very large sets of footsteps, RMT Artistic Director Rachel Bertone forges her own path to stage a version that leads with an enlarged heart and a healthy helping of fun and whimsy.

Energetic heavy metal band Butcher Babies are returning to Las Vegas for a special performance at Backstage Bar & Billiards (601 E. Fremont St.) in Downtown Las Vegas. Presented by Smash Magazine, the band will perform Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, alongside special guests Uncured.

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston announced the cast for Pippin, the 2nd and final production in the company’s Summer 2022 season. Running from August 5-13, 2022 at the Robinson Theatre.
