What would Broadway be without the guidance of its directors- the people behind the scenes who guide the performances of the actors onstage and lend their artistic vision to the productions that make us laugh, cry, and appreciate the power of theatre. Three men and seven women were singled out for their exceptional contribution to this Broadway season.

It's almost here! On June 16, The 77th Annual Tony Awards make their debut at Lincoln Center at the David H. Koch Theatre to celebrate the best of Broadway for the 2023/24 theatre season.

Full casting has been announced for someone spectacular, the world premiere of a new play by Domenica Feraud, directed by Tatiana Pandiani.

In this edition, we hear from Manhattan Theatre Club Artistic Director Lynne Meadow and Executive Director Chris Jennings, who contributed the below essay about their three  Tony-nominated plays, Jaja's African Hair Braiding, Prayer for the French Republic, and Mary Jane.

Playwright Jocelyn Bioh appeared on Good Morning America on Friday to talk about the Tony-nominated play Jaja's African Hair Braiding, which recently played at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Today’s subject Simon Godwin is currently living his theatre life as the Artistic Director of DC’s Tony Award winning Shakespeare Theatre Company (STC). He assumed the position in 2019 succeeding the company’s founder Michael Kahn after a stunning 33-year reign.

Manhattan Theatre Club just presented its annual Spring Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street.
