The Green Room 42 will present Ben Caplan's Not-Quite Birthday Show, an evening of Caplan's music and lyrics featuring performances from Alexandra Silber (Fiddler on the Roof, Indecent) Fergie L. Philippe (Hamilton) and Shereen Pimentel (Maria in West Side Story, “John Mulaney & The Sack Lunch Bunch”).

Written and directed by Cat Miller, the play explores the current climate of suspicion and fear a?" and what it means to us as individuals and as a society. Opening on Tuesday, October 29th, THE HOPE HYPOTHESIS runs from October 25th through November 15th at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture (18 Bleecker Street). The Bushwick Starr, in collaboration with Superhero Clubhouse, is proud to present BIG GREEN THEATER, a series of plays written by public school elementary students from Bushwick's PS75 and Ridgewood's PS239. Celebrating its ninth year, BIG GREEN THEATER (BGT) is an eco-playwriting program in which kids write short plays about local ecology, climate change, and environmental justice, then see their work produced professionally for public audiences. This year's students have crafted eco-plays that question and tackle some of the world's most pressing environmental issues: climate change, habitat loss, and the interconnectedness of ecosystems. The plays are performed by an ensemble of professional actors, directors, and designers using only green theater methods (recycled materials for sets and costumes, solar-powered LED lighting, paperless programming, etc). BGT is a beloved community based program celebrating environmental education, sustainability in the arts, and community enrichment.

The Rescignos: Merry Christmas to Paul, and to Paul a Good Night (feat. Robbie) a new holiday comedy show written by Paul Rescigno ('Mozart in the Jungle'; 'The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'), Robbie Rescigno (Bravo's 'Odd Mom Out'; 'The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt'), and Mike Hadge (NEWSical: The Musical), will play the Duplex (61 Christopher Street) in NYC from December 6-8 and The Milton Theatre (110 Union Street) in Milton, DE on December 9.

British playwright Simon Stephens scored big his first time on Broadway, taking the 2015 Best Play Tony Award for THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME two years after receiving the same honor at the Olivier Awards.

Shakespeare's The Tempest, a production by The Drilling Company in Bryant Park, with new music by Natalie Smith and arrangements by Michael Chorney (of Hadestown), will run for three weeks, beginning tonight, August 25th.
