It's the biggest night in London Theatre! The Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard - the most prestigious event in the UK's theatrical calendar - take place tonight at the Royal Opera House, hosted by Michael Ball. This year's list of Olivier Award nominees includes Gemma Arterton, Kenneth Branagh, Kenneth Cranham, Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench, Mark Gatiss, Denise Gough, Preeya Kalidas, Nicole Kidman, Adrian Lester, Lara Pulver, Mark Rylance, Imelda Staunton, Tom Sturridge and David Suchet.

The Olivier Awards with MasterCard are delighted to announce that two world-wide musical stars will be joining the line-up for the 40th Anniversary Ceremony. Grammy and Tony Award-winning musician Cyndi Lauper is set to perform both on her own and in a unique collaboration following the seven nominations for Kinky Boots, which features music written by Cyndi. Michael Feinstein, master of The Great American Songbook, will also be performing on the night, joining a variety of past winners in a special 40th anniversary segment.

In a major theatrical event marking the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, BAM, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and The Ohio State University present the US Premiere of Shakespeare's History plays in KING AND COUNTRY: SHAKESPEARE'S GREAT CYCLE OF KINGS. Following performances at the Barbican, and in China in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, the plays are directed by RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran and performed in repertory at the BAM Harvey Theater from tonight, Mar 24, through May 1, 2016.
