The winners of the Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard, the most prestigious event in the UK theatrical calendar, were announced tonight (Sunday 3 April 2016) at the star-studded ceremony held at London's Royal Opera House.

Not in the UK for the big night? Fear not! For the first time ever, the ceremony is being live streamed on YouTube in the US, so you can tune in beginning at 5pm  EST!

The Olivier Awards 2016 with MasterCard - the most prestigious event in the UK's theatrical calendar - has revealed further details of the star-studded ceremony, hosted by two-time Olivier Award winner Michael Ball on Sunday 3 April at the Royal Opera House.

The Olivier Awards with MasterCard are delighted to announce that two world-wide musical stars will be joining the line-up for the 40th Anniversary Ceremony. Grammy and Tony Award-winning musician Cyndi Lauper is set to perform both on her own and in a unique collaboration following the seven nominations for Kinky Boots, which features music written by Cyndi. Michael Feinstein, master of The Great American Songbook, will also be performing on the night, joining a variety of past winners in a special 40th anniversary segment.

Last night, Wednesday 23 March, saw the opening night of the much-anticipated production of Duncan Macmillan's intoxicating new play, PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS, at the Wyndham's Theatre. In a major theatrical event marking the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's death, BAM, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and The Ohio State University present the US Premiere of Shakespeare's History plays in KING AND COUNTRY: SHAKESPEARE'S GREAT CYCLE OF KINGS. Following performances at the Barbican, and in China in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, the plays are directed by RSC Artistic Director Gregory Doran and performed in repertory at the BAM Harvey Theater from tonight, Mar 24, through May 1, 2016.
