Improbable have announced the full cast and creative team for An Improbable Musical, a Royal and Derngate Northampton and Improbable production. Following its critically acclaimed premiere in Northampton this February, An Improbable Musical will open at the Exeter Northcott on 27 September before a limited London run at Hackney Empire from 21 October. It will then tour the UK in spring 2023, including Gulbenkian Theatre (13 – 15 April), with further tour dates to be announced.

The star cast has been announced for Addictive Beat, the explosive new play by award-winning writer Dawn King (The Trials, Donmar Warehouse; Foxfinder, The Ambassadors Theatre; Brave New World, UK Tour).  Part gig, part theatre, the show kicks off Boundless Theatre’s Autumn season with a story of two best friends who create a euphoric beat that could change their lives forever. 

The ensemble cast of My Policeman — Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, Gina McKee, Linus Roache, David Dawson, and Rupert Everett — will be honoured with the TIFF Tribute Award for Performance. As previously scheduled, My Policeman by director Michael Grandage will have its World Premiere at this year’s Festival.

Back with a full programme of shows and activities for the first summer since 2019, Shakespeare's Globe will welcome families back to Bankside for a summer of theatrical fun.

Shakespeare’s Globe has released photos of Midsummer Mechanicals in rehearsal, which opens in Sam Wanamaker Playhouse on 28 July, running until 21 August.

Monique Touko directs Toyin Ayedun-Alase, Donna Berlin, Maynard Eziashi, Simon Manyonda, Gloria Obianyo and Mercy Ojelade in the production which opens on Monday 12 September, with previews from Saturday 3 September, running until Saturday 1 October.

The Winter Season in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse will open on 10 November with Henry V directed by Headlong Artistic Director Holly Race Roughan and co-produced by the Globe and Headlong with Leeds Playhouse and Royal & Derngate, Northampton.
