On Thursday, January 6, Arts Garage launches an hysterical new comedy series The Art of Laughter, kicking off with TV, Film and Comedy Club superstar Jimmie “JJ” Walker. The new series will run quarterly on First Thursdays and will feature some of the best touring comedians from South Florida and beyond.

On Friday, February 4, 2022, GRAMMY Award-winning Catalyst Quartet will release UNCOVERED Volume 2: Florence B. Price on Azica Records. The album is the second issue of a multi-volume anthology highlighting string quartet works by historically important Black composers which aims to bring greater awareness and programming of their music.
Other performers will include AJR, Travis Barker, Big Boi, French Montana, Macklemore, Mae Muller, Polo G, and Masked Wolf. 17-time host and executive producer Ryan Seacrest in Times Square with first-time co-host Liza Koshy, co-host Billy Porter from New Orleans, and co-host Roselyn Sanchez who will lead the festivities in Puerto Rico.
The series will be an authentic adaptation of the award-winning and beloved Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender reimagined as a live-action adventure. Albert Kim (Sleepy Hollow, Nikita) serves as showrunner, executive producer, and writer. Daniel Tae Kim recently joined the cast.

MoMA announces the creation of the Ford Foundation Scholars in Residence at The Museum of Modern Art, a program that will invite three midcareer or established professionals with demonstrated records of achievement to join the Museum for a one-year term to pursue independent research that contributes to new understandings of modern and contemporary art. Candidates for these new residencies will be thought leaders whose work focuses on historically underrepresented artists, moments, movements, and geographies, or offers new perspectives on art-historical topics. In addition to conducting independent research, each scholar-in-residence will join staff across the Museum to participate in the conversations that set the course for MoMA's collection presentations, exhibitions, acquisitions, scholarship, and programming. .
Roundabout Theatre Company has announced the tenth annual Roundabout Underground Reading Series, a four-night event that includes nightly readings of new works written by emerging artists. The Reading Series will feature new works by Liz Appel, Noah Diaz, Daria Miyeko Marinelli and York Walker. The NSO will present Beethoven & American Masters, a three-week festival featuring concerts that belatedly celebrate the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth.
