Dervish, Renowned Interpreters Of Irish Folk Music, To Tour North America This Spring

Dervish, one of the world's most imaginative interpreters of Irish folk music and recently recognized with a BBC Lifetime Achievement Award, have confirmed a new tour of North America this spring. Having devoted the last three decades to gently reinventing the traditional songs of their homeland, Dervish were widely celebrated in 2019 for their album The Great Irish Songbook which featured such luminaries as Vince Gill, Rhiannon Giddens, Steve Earle and others. On this new tour the group will play songs from the album among various tunes performed throughout their career as well as fan favorites.

Dailey & Vincent Bring LANDFEST Music Festival Series to Texas

Dailey & Vincent are bringing their LANDFEST music festival series to Texas for the first annual LONESTAR LANDFEST, set for May 30 and 31 of this year at The Theatre at Grand Prairie. Tickets went on sale Friday, February 21 and are now available at AXS.com. Along with Dailey & Vincent, the inaugural lineup includes GRAMMY® Award-winners Alison Krauss, Ricky Skaggs, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Steve Earle & The Dukes. Also featured on the lineup are Jerry Jeff Walker, Yonder Mountain String Band, Bradley Walker, and The Voice season 17 winner Jake Hoot. Dallas Wayne from SiriusXM's Outlaw Country and Willie's Roadhouse will be the MC for both nights of the festival.

WYO Theater Presents DERVISH

Jamey Johnson Will Play North Charleston PAC

Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Jamey Johnson, one of today's most respected country music artists, will play North Charleston Performing Arts Center on May 6, Charlotte Metro Credit Union Amphitheatre on May 7, and Red Hat Amphitheater Raleigh on Friday May 8 with special guests Whiskey Myers. Tickets go on sale Friday February 28 at 10am at Ticketmaster.com, LiveNation.com and via the Live Nation app.

CMT to Exclusively Premiere BLUEBIRD on February 19

Today, CMT announced it will air the exclusive broadcast premiere of 'BLUEBIRD,' the critically-acclaimed feature film documenting the 35-year history of The Bluebird Cafe, Nashville's accidental landmark that altered the course of music history. 'BLUEBIRD' will premiere Wednesday, February 19th at 8 PM ET/PT and will receive an encore screening on Friday, February 21st at 12PM ET/PT on CMT.

The GRAMMY AWARDS Premiere Ceremony took place at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 26, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. PT. Preceding the 62nd Annual GRAMMY AWARDS telecast, the Premiere Ceremony was hosted by two-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Imogen Heap and featured a number of performances by current GRAMMY nominees. Performers included classical violinist Nicola Benedetti, jazz legend Chick Corea, folk music supergroup I'm With Her, West African sensation Angélique Kidjo and Best New Artist nominee Yola.

The '90s influenced country band Hot Country Knights has inked a worldwide recording deal with Universal Music Group Nashville (UMGN), it was announced today. Teaming with imprint Capitol Records Nashville, the Knights are promising to bring real '90s country music back to a format that's been drowning in male sensitivity, cashmere cardigan sweaters and programmed drum loops.

What happens when the repertoire of George Gershwin goes country? We're about to find out, thanks to Michael Feinstein. According to Forbes, the music man has already recorded an album in Nashville, titled Gershwin Country, which will be released soon by Concord. Artists featured on the album, which was executive produced by Liza Minnelli, include Lee Ann Womack, Brad Paisley, Amy Grant, Lyle Lovett, Ronnie Milsap, Vince Gill, Alison Krauss and Rosanne Cash.

Richard Lynch Pays Homage To His Daddy's Gibson Guitar On New Single 'Back In 1953'

1957 was a momentous year in country music. The radio was filled with huge hits by the stars of the day: Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Ferlin Husky and Jim Reeves. Future stars like Patty Loveless, Vince Gill and Pam Tillis were all born in 1957. Meanwhile, in a Kalamazoo, Michigan factory, one of the first Gibson guitars featuring a cutaway and built-in pickup was being manufactured. That guitar would become a prized possession of Woody Lynch, who would eventually pass it along to his son, a 19-year-old burgeoning country artist, Richard Lynch.

THE DAILEY & VINCENT SHOW Announces New Network Home With Circle

Three-time GRAMMY® nominated country, bluegrass and gospel music group Dailey & Vincent have formally announced their partnership with Circle, a new COUNTRY MUSIC and lifestyle television network which will play home to their television series, The Dailey & Vincent Show. In addition to bringing existing episodes to the network which feature guest artists such as Vince Gill, The Oak Ridge Boys, Jimmy Fortune of the Statler Brothers, Emily West, John Carter and Ana Cash, and Henry Cho, among others, The Dailey & Vincent Show will begin taping 22 brand new episodes on January 14 and 15 at the Franklin Theater.
