Village Theatre Announces Leadership Transition

With profound respect and gratitude, Village Theatre's Board of Directors today announced that after 43 years of leadership, Village Theatre legacy founder and longtime Executive Producer Robb Hunt will retire at the conclusion of the 2021-2022 season.

Vs. Theatre Company & Circle X Theatre Co. have announced that the critically acclaimed, west coast premiere of STAND UP IF YOU'RE HERE TONIGHT, written and directed by John Kolvenbach, starring Jim Ortlieb, and featuring Alexandra Grossi is extending through Saturday, October 30 at the Atwater Village Theatre, 3269 Casitas Ave. in Los Angeles, 90039.

Interactive, Sci-fi, Futuristic Cyber Play ASCENSION Announced At Echo Theater Company

The Echo Theater Company presents the world premiere of Ascension, an immersive, interactive, sci-fi mystery thriller written by D.G. Watson and directed by Echo associate artistic director Ahmed Best. Performances take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays Oct. 6 through Nov. 18 at Atwater Village Theatre. One preview performance is set for Oct. 5.

New Dates Announced for World Premiere Of Chiara Atik's POOR CLARE

The Echo Theater Company's world premiere production of Poor Clare will open in October, 19 months after the originally scheduled March, 2020 opening that was shuttered by the pandemic. Echo associate artistic director Alana Dietze (Dry Land, The Wolves) is back at the helm of Chiara Atik's powerful and very funny modern spin on the medieval story of Saint Clare of Assisi.

Student Blog: Another Kind of Coming Home – The Return of Live Theatre in Seattle

Alongside all the other strange experiences of the last year and a half, repeatedly coming home to a Seattle without live theatre was one of the strangest. But as we see a light at the end of the pandemic tunnel, especially in the heavily vaccinated Seattle community, in-person theatre has slowly begun to make its return, and experiencing it in a variety of capacities has been a highlight of my visit home.
