The revival of the 1965 musical SKYSCRAPER at UrbanStages has revealed its full cast. The Equity Showcase production will run for 10 performances, featuring music by James Van Heusen and lyrics by Sammy Cahn.

The first-ever revival of the 1965 musical Skyscraper is headed off-Broadway this November! The musical features music from James Van Heusen, lyrics by  Sammy Cahn, and book by Peter Stone, based on Dream Girl by Elmer Rice.

Next up for The Group Rep, Agatha Christie’s Murder After Hours opening August 2, 2024, at their Lonny Chapman Theatre. Jules Aaron directs the cast of: Patrick Anthony, Joe Clabby, Roslyn Cohn, John Combs, Jason Culp, Megan Deford, Rebecca Del Sesto, Meghan Lewis, Michael Robb, Dani Thompson, Chris Winfield and Gina Yates. The Joshua Harmon play “Prayer for the French Republic” – now being given a superbly rendered production by the Huntington – raises questions that have faced the Jewish people for generations, chief among them, “where are Jews safe?” and “why do they hate us?”

COME CELEBRATE WITH MARILYN MAYE,  is ostensibly a celebration of her upcoming birthday. But it is so much more than that. It is a celebration of all the fans who have made Maye as loved and respected as she is. It is a two-way avenue of gratitude between an entertainer and those she entertains. It’s hard to say which is more delightful, the songs themselves, which are beautifully sung and acted, or the banter that feels as unscripted as a cocktail party. And Marilyn Maye is the most charming host of her own fête. Two weeks ago she performed with 80 musicians at a sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall. But is this Marilyn, with only herself and her trio, that I prefer. An intimate evening of great songs and good-spirited bonhomie.
